Grown with care and attention in our on-farm greenhouse from seed. Each seedling is approximately 4” tall and already hardened off.
How to do it: Plant as soon as possible after pickup. For optimum results, pair with our floating row cover kit and home gardener guide! Wait until transplants are settled (1-2 weeks) before pinching, if pinching is preferred. Pinching yields approximately 5 stems per plant of uniform stem robustness. Not pinching usually results in a central stem that is very robust and usually has more blooms along the stem (florist quality cut), and then side-branching stems delayed about 1-2 weeks after the central stem flowers.
Special Notes: Snapdragon varieties are sensitive to daylength/night temperatures and some will bloom at different times in the season because of this. For blooms all season long, it’s preferable to select snapdragons from as many of the seven Groups as possible. Confused about Groups? I was, too! Get my guide so you can get all the info I’ve collected so far and grow great snaps, too.
These varieties are all listed as hardy in our zone 7B. Snapdragon transplants will benefit from lightweight row cover to protect from frost. Add a row cover kit to your order for optimum results.
